| I have been involved
with creating art all my life, whether in realms of Fine Art or in
music. In fact the earliest recollections
from my family are of me sitting with a piece of paper in the corner or
a room, scrunching it and flattening it out!
After gaining a 'star' from my headmistress for a picture of the Queen visiting Wolverhampton in 1962 to gaining First Prize in a National Scholarship award, when aged 10, I attended formal training. For a number of years I taught art in the Midlands and South East, moving into Special Education in the Midlands, Bristol and recently in Devon. Upon turning 50 I have left the teaching profession and now combine my life as a Civil Servant and in opening my private studio/gallery. For some 34 years I both performed in as 'lead singer/actor' and directed musicals and opera during which time I took a 20 year sabbatical from painting, I returned to my first love after deciding that a 'change is as good as a rest!'
